Rerouting, Erection and Stringing of Kusaha-Kataiya 132 kV TL

Five numbers of 132 KV towers of Kusaha-Kataiya 132 kV Transmission Line were damaged by Monsoon flood of 2065 B.S. (2008). Himal Hydro took the challenge of constructing pile foundation on the substrata composed of boulders and cobbles. Although it became very difficult to drive piles of 25 m depth as per original design due to unsuitable substrata for handheld pile driving equipment (Auger Boring), Himal Hydro fulfilled its obligation of charging the transmission line within stipulated time of 50 days by constructing temporary power line to solve the national power crisis. After charging the line through temporary arrangement, Himal Hydro completed all work according to the revised design, drawing and specification within revised schedule. By completion of this project on time, Himal Hydro has gained experience in pile driving and has proven its competence to render services within scheduled time in critical and national interest works.
